Sunshine, Cocktails, Spa Time & the Perfect Gulf Coast Getaway
Sometimes you just need to text the girls, pack way too many outfits for a two-night trip, and head to the beach. And if you’re looking for an easy Florida girls’ getaway, Clearwater Beach has pretty much everything you need white sand, gorgeous Gulf sunsets, waterfront restaurants, tiki bars, boat rides, shopping, spa time, and plenty of places for cocktails.
Even better? Stay in the middle of everything and you can spend most of the weekend walking instead of worrying about driving and parking.
Here’s how I’d spend the perfect girls’ weekend in Clearwater Beach.
Where to stay
Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa
For this trip, I recommend making the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa your home base.
The biggest reason? Location.
The resort sits directly on the beach at 400 Mandalay Avenue, right near Pier 60 and within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops and the marina. That makes it especially convenient for a girls’ weekend when nobody wants to spend half the trip figuring out who’s driving.
The Hilton also has pools, direct beach access, a spa and several places to grab food or drinks without leaving the property. There’s even a Starbucks downstairs for that very necessary morning coffee run. And Tommy’s Tiki Bar has tables directly in the sand which feels like an appropriate way to officially start girls’ weekend. It is also the only place you can drink on the beach!
Coastal Current tip: When booking, I’d look at the exact room/view category carefully if having a Gulf view is important to your group. Also budget for resort fees, parking and beach-chair rentals rather than being surprised when you arrive.

FRIDAY: CHECK IN, COCKTAILS & SUNSET
Get to Clearwater Beach Friday afternoon, check into the Hilton and immediately change into something beachy.
You officially have nowhere important to be.
Start with a drink at the resort, walk onto the beach and let everyone decompress for a little while.
Then head over to Pier 60 Clearwater for sunset. Sunsets at Pier 60 takes place nightly around sunset and brings vendors and entertainers to the beach, so it’s an easy first-night activity and the Hilton’s location puts you right near it.
After sunset, it’s time for dinner and drinks.
If everyone still has energy afterward, wander around Clearwater Beach and find some live music. If you’re already exhausted because apparently staying awake past 10 gets harder every year…back to the hotel we go.
Girls Trip!

SATURDAY
After brunch, head back to the Hilton and claim Saturday afternoon for absolutely nothing productive.
No girls’ weekend is complete without a day where the only decision you have to make is beach or pool? The Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa gives you both, with two outdoor pools and direct access to Clearwater Beach, so grab a coffee in the morning, throw on your swimsuit, and plan on doing absolutely nothing productive. One thing to budget for: beach chairs and umbrellas are not included with your stay and are operated by a separate rental company. Current 2026 guest reports put two chairs + one umbrella at about $78–$92 for the day, with individual chairs reported around $29 each; premium cabana setups can run $200–$250+. Pricing can vary by setup, row, and date, so check the beach rental stand when you arrive for that day’s exact rate. If you’d rather skip the rental, make it a pool day, grab a frozen drink, and save your beach walk for sunset.
Take a Tiki Cruise
For one of the most fun additions to a girls’ weekend, book a cruise with Go Tiki Clearwater. Their floating tiki boat departs from 455 E. Shore Drive on Clearwater Beach and comes equipped with coolers and ice, Bluetooth music, comfortable seating, and even a bathroom onboard—an underrated perk when you’re spending a couple of hours on the water. The cruises are designed for small groups and are perfect for birthdays, girls’ trips, celebrations, or simply seeing Clearwater from a completely different perspective. Depending on the trip you choose, you can cruise the Intracoastal, look for dolphins, enjoy a sandbar stop, or book around sunset for those gorgeous Florida skies.
Pricing varies by cruise, date, and whether you’re booking individual seats or a private boat, so I’d recommend checking Go Tiki’s current booking calendar for the exact price before your trip. Weekends and sunset cruises can fill up, so this is one activity I’d book ahead rather than waiting until you arrive.
Coastal Current Tip: Bring your drinks, snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a playlist—then let your captain handle the rest.

Need a little break from the sun? Head to Hibiscus Spa inside the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa for some well-deserved girls’ weekend pampering. The full-service spa offers massages, Hydrafacials and traditional facials, body wraps and scrubs, manicures and pedicures, hair services, waxing, and makeup, plus a Vichy shower and relaxation lounge. Spa treatments generally start around the $100 range and increase depending on the service and length of treatment; the Hilton does not currently publish a complete price menu online, so I recommend calling the spa at 727-461-3222 ext. 571 for current pricing when booking. A massage, a little pool time, and cocktails on the beach afterward sounds like a pretty perfect girls’ day to me.
Saturday Night: Get Dressed Up for Sunset
Saturday night is when we finally wear one of the cute outfits we packed and take approximately 47 pictures before leaving the hotel. Start with sunset cocktails at Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest, the rooftop bar at Pier House 60, where you’ll get gorgeous views overlooking the marina, Pier 60, and Clearwater Beach as the sun goes down. Then make Saturday your nicer dinner night. For seafood and waterfront views, try Caretta on the Gulf at the Sandpearl Resort; for a fun upscale atmosphere, Ocean Hai at the Wyndham Grand is another great choice; or keep it a little more casual with fresh seafood and cocktails at Crabby’s Bar & Grill. After dinner, nobody says the night has to end head to Shephard’s Tiki Beach for waterfront drinks, music, and dancing, or wander around the beach and see where the night takes you. And if Saturday dinner somehow turns into a 1 a.m. girls’ night? That’s between you, your girlfriends, and Sunday morning.

Sunday Morning
After Saturday night, Sunday morning calls for coffee, mimosas, and a brunch that requires absolutely no rushing. For a classic Clearwater Beach girls’ brunch, head to Clear Sky Cafe, just a short walk from the Hilton, for a huge breakfast menu, mimosas, and Bloody Marys. Another fun option is Another Broken Egg Cafe for Southern-inspired brunch favorites, beignets, pancakes, Benedicts, spiked coffee, and brunch cocktails. If you want something a little more special for your final morning, head to Island Way Grill for its Sunday brunch buffet overlooking the Intracoastal, with seafood, sushi, made-to-order omelets, breakfast favorites, and desserts.
Before heading home, make one last stop at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. This isn’t your typical aquarium it’s a working marine animal rescue and rehabilitation facility, where you can see rescued dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays, otters, seals, sea lions and other marine life while learning about CMA’s rescue, rehab and conservation work. Plan on spending a couple of hours exploring the exhibits and watching the animal presentations, or add one of their special animal or eco-boat experiences if you have extra time. Regular admission is currently $41.95 for adults (12+), $39.95 for seniors (65+), $32.95 for kids ages 3–11, and free for children 2 and under. Prices can change seasonally, and parking is additional.
Coastal Current Tip: Florida residents can currently save $10 on general admission through October 8, 2026 when tickets are purchased online in advance and you show a valid Florida ID. It’s a fun, laid-back way to finish your Clearwater girls’ weekend and your visit helps support CMA’s marine animal rescue mission.

A girls’ weekend doesn’t have to be complicated sometimes all you need is sunshine, good food, tropical drinks, a little pampering, and your favorite people. From staying right on the sand at the Hilton Clearwater Beach and cruising the water on a tiki boat to sunset cocktails, brunch, beach days, and a visit to Clearwater Marine Aquarium, this weekend has the perfect mix of relaxing and exploring.
So send this itinerary to the group chat, pick a weekend, and start packing those outfits you probably won’t even wear.
Because the best memories usually start with someone saying, “We should totally take a girls’ trip.”
See you at the beach. 🌊
